Brookfield Zoo in Chicago

Last weekend the temp actually hit 50 degrees! We took advantage by driving over to
Chicago to the zoo. Jacob had a blast. He really loved the dolphin show! He's never seen dolphins and he can't wait until he gets to go to another show. I can't wait for Spring!

1st day at the park!

What a wonderful day we had at the park!
Me and Tony enjoyed ourselves, too.
This was the first day that the weather was
nice enough to play outside. Jacob
loves this park, especially the slide!

Clowning around with momma!

What a kodak moment for me! I know that one day I won't have these kisses to make my day. So I gladly take them whenever I can get 'em!

Jacob is really into sunglasses. So far he has gotten 3 new pair this year. These are just "plain old glasses". Even though they are brand new from Old Navy, they don't have cars, batman, or spider man on them. These should just go in the garbage and he can wear the cooler ones! He should get a job to help pay for the extravagances that we are constantly buying!

Jacob loves magic markers! He makes sure
that you see the finished product, including the marks
on his face. He also picks out his own pajamas.
Notice how well Lightning McQueen goes with safari animals!

These blocks make an awesome tower! Jacob likes to tell Granny how it's supposed to be built. He doesn't like to build it by himself. So he begs Granny to get in the floor to play with him. But he really means "you sit in the floor and watch how I do it". But anything at Granny's is the best thing in the world!

And here is the favorite thing to do to a completed tower. The only point in stacking things as high as he can reach is to see how fast he can knock them down!

Chuck-E-Cheese

Jacob loves going to chuck e cheese. This is his latest
adventure. They had a new roller coaster ride, which was
a blast for him and daddy! Also, daddy showed him how to
shoot the bad guys in the video games. I didn't much care for
this, but I lost the don't let Jacob have a gun battle.

More snow in February!

We have more snow this month! As you can see, Jacob
very much enjoys it. He loved to climb (with Granny's help)
the tall piles at Granny and Grandpa's house and then roll
down.We had negative temps last week so we're bundled up
pretty good! We like the snow, but sometimes the cold
is just too much!

Such a peaceful sleeper!

Playing in the snow

Jacob loves the snow once you get him out in it. He likes to help shovel the driveway and he is learning to make snow angels.

Grandpa's favorite thing is to aggravate Jacob. Go figure!

Jacob and Granny are deciding if this is "definitely a race car" or not! I think that if he had only cars to play with, he would be happy. Especially if Granny is down in the floor with him. He loves being at theie house. And he prefers that me and Tony go home so he can be there by himself!

Jacob loves playing outside, no matter how cold it is. It gets pretty cold up here, so he just adds more clothes. But he swears he's not cold. "It's not cold, we can stay outside, momma"!
Jacob had to make sure Santa and Rudolph had enough to eat for their long trip!

The initial shock at all the presents from Santa!

Christmas Time!

We love having everyone up here at Christmas. I'm glad Aunt Dana gets to make it up here every year. We all make such great pictures!!! And for daddy, he likes to sneak in pictures and add the humor. Nothing new for all that know him!

We loved having Lila, Joyce and Wendell up here. But I think the Glasgow bunch wears them out!

Just one of the MANY Alabama gifts from Tony. Between me and Dana, he does pretty well every year!

Jacob loves his maw maw! Watching cartoons allowed her some down time!
